Plant Sanitation Manager

Seeking a Plant Sanitation Manager to provide support for all activities in a food manufacturing and packaging facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and provide leadership and guidance to improve, maintain and validate sanitation practices and procedures.
  2. Build and maintain a Master Sanitation Schedule and related documentation.
  3. Facilitates training for employees on issues related to sanitation.
  4. Continuously verifies/validates sanitation effectiveness and propose better ways to
      clean/sanitize, maximizing results and minimizing cost.
  1. Updates sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) and recommends adjustments to schedules, procedures, sanitation practices to Plant General Manager for review.
  2. Implements and reports corrective actions of sanitation violations cited in internal monthly inspections.
  3. Responsible for performing weekly inventory on sanitation supplies.
  4. Responsible to follow up pest control observation and make an internal pest control, walk through and keep records.  
  5. Report any potential contamination and suspicious activity to Plant General Manager for review.
  6. Experience with BRC or other GFSI schemes.
  7. Creates and modifies the master cleaning schedule.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:                     
The position requires a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and dedication to customer service. The candidate must be well organized, sensitive to handling confidential information and detail oriented. Capable of effectively managing multiple tasks.
Adequate command of both English and Spanish language plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor ‘s degree from a four year college or university plus  3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of HACCP, AIB, SQF or BRC standards preferred.
