Reports to: Production Manager

Shift: All shift availabilty

Purpose:
Supervise, train, and motivate employees.  Work teams to meet quality standards, production goals, efficiencies, and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Assign work ,analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate 
  • Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures  
  • Examine production scheduled and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, shipping/receiving process, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Responsible for recognizing, reporting, and troubleshooting food safety and/or quality issues
Daily/Periodic Tasks:
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments as needed - 10% of time
  • Interpret company policies to works and enforces safety and GMP regulations - 10% of time
  • Administer discipline, corrective action, and coach as needed - 5% of time
  • Guide, coaches, and develop subordinates in a worker-friendly team environment that rewards performance with respect and trust - 10% of time
  • Schedule appointments with incoming/outgoing vendors to ensure on-time delivery - 15% of time
  • Communicate written and oral instructions to work team, Direct Line/Department supervision, and work flow analysis - 30% of time
  • Perform monthly inventory audits -  5% of time
  • Other duties as directed by Department Managers - 5% of time
  • Confirm production and evaluate downtime (SAP/CDC/DPR)  - 10% of time
Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor Degree preferred in related field
  • 3 years food manufacturing experience
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
MS Office; Proficient use of computer programs and software; Prior supervisory experience preferred
